About Me

I am a Stanford-trained, board-certified adult psychiatrist licensed in California. I am dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care and I work alongside my patients to create values-based, personalized treatment plans that may involve psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and/or medications.

I enjoy getting to know my patients as people and work hard to understand the biological, psychological and social factors impacting their situation. My commitment to providing thoughtful evidence-based care is coupled with a compassionate bedside manner, and I am dedicated to treating all patients as I would want my own loved ones to be treated.

Born and raised on the East Coast, I attended The College of New Jersey where I studied Psychology. I graduated with Departmental Honors for completing an honors thesis, and earned inductions into Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi Honor Societies.

After graduating college, I worked for two years as a full-time research specialist in the field of pediatric neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina, where I then completed my medical doctorate. I was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha and Arnold P. Gold Foundation Honor Societies, reflecting a rare combination of exceptional academic performance and leadership, with compassion and humanism in medicine.

I then moved to California and completed my psychiatry residency at Stanford, specializing in psychotherapy and medical education. I served as a Stanford Chief Resident in Psychiatry, and I received accolades such as the George Gulevich Resident Award, another Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s Gold Humanism Award, and the Association for Academic Psychiatry Resident Award. My contributions extend beyond clinical practice, including peer-reviewed journal articles, a medical textbook chapter co-authorship, and nationwide research presentations.

In my private practice, I offer academically-rigorous mental health care in the intimacy of a small private practice setting. I have expertise with a broad range of conditions and concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, relationship issues, and concerns during pregnancy and postpartum. I completed Maternal Mental Health training from Postpartum Support International.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and hiking our beautiful Bay Area trails.
